Park Yoochun, cunoscut si sub numele Micky Yoochun ( Micky a fost porecla lui in Statele unite-a copilarit acolo, apoi numele de scena in trupa DBSK, dar recent colegul lui de la JYJ,Junsu, a spus ca lui Yoochun nu-i place acest nume) este un actor , cantaret si compozitor sud-coreean. S-a nascut in 4 iunie 1986 si a debutat in divertisment in 2004, alaturi de trupa DBSK/TVXQ. In 2009 a intentat proces agentiei SMentertainment si a parasit trupa, impreuna cu Jaejoong si Junsu. Din 2010, cei 3 formeaza trupa JYJ, trupa foarte faimoasa deja in Asia si in lume ( inregistrand recorduri la vanzari de albume si susitinand concerte in tari din aproape toate continentele).
Datorita faptului ca in timpul procesului cu SM (care inca nu e terminat), JYJ nu a putut avea activitati muzicale, Yoochun s-a orientat spre actorie (si bine a facut, zic eu).

In 2010 a primit rolul principal in Sungkyunkwan scandal, arogantul tanar student Lee Sun joon, iar pentru prestatia sa a fost distins, pe langa premiile de la KBS Drama Awards, si cu premiul Baeksang Art Awards la categoria "noi actori". De asemenea, el a primit si premiul pentru popularitate in cadrul Baeksang Art Awards, iar anul acesta a primit a doua oara consecutiv premiul pt popularitate.
Urmatorul lui serial a fost Miss Ripley, unde a avut din nou rolul principal, apoi a urmat, in aceasta primavara , Rooftop prince, serial foarte popular deja, unde il interpreteaza pe printul Yi Gak, care ajunge din Joseon in Coreea zilelor noastre, incercand sa afle cine a ucis-o pe printesa mostenitoare.

Yoochun are un frate mai mic, actorul Park Yoohwan, si locuieste in Seoul cu el si mama lor. Tatal sau a murit in Martie, a.c., chiar in timp ce YC se intorcea de la concertul JYJ din Peru si trebuia sa filmeze Rooftop prince.

Park Yoochun, a member of JYJ has been gaining popularity for his acting skills in the dramas,“Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “Rooftop Prince”. Right now, he has shown a new side of him in the drama, “I Miss You”. He has once again captured the hearts of many as he invites everyone to donate to a good cause. In the video featured below, Yoochun gives us a step by step process on how to donate for Standard Chartered’s Good Project.

During the December 17 press conference for his MBC drama, I Miss You, Park Yoo Chun was asked by one reporter if he had any desire to appear in a variety show.

The JYJ member responded that he did want to appear in variety shows again and added he probably hadn’t been on a variety show since 2008.

When asked which program he would want to appear in, Park Yoo Chun surprised everyone by selecting SBS’ wilderness survival program The Laws of the Jungle.

Letting Go Of Kdrama Characters – Yoochun’s Han Jung Woo

If you find it hard to say goodbye to a Kdrama character, think how hard it must be for the actors who portray them.

To give a great performance in a drama, an actor really has to become the character they play, to almost live inside their skin. The down side of becoming so invested in playing a character is that it can be difficult to let go once the drama is over. Some actors find it takes months to say goodbye.

The more emotional the project, the harder it may be to let go. As Park Yoo Chun was wrapping up his role in “Missing You,” he felt very protective of his character’s world.

“This was a really emotional project and I became very attached to my Han Jung Woo character,” said Park. “I really want to protect the world that Han Jung Woo lives in and I think I’m going to live with the desire to protect the people he wishes to protect until the very end.”
