About Lee Seung Ki

Lee Seung-gi is a young male vocalist who made his debut in 2004 as a high school student. Being tall and handsome, his voice color is contrary to his soft looks. Lee Seung-gi has a low and powerful tone of voice that appeals to many pop music lovers. Lee is an active student at school. He served as the student president in his second year in Sangkye High School. He first started music in high school by joining the school band as the leading vocalist. While performing with his band in a small theater in Daehagno, Lee was scouted by Lee Sun-hee, former singer in the late 1980's and '90s. After two years of hard training, Lee Seung-gi first appeared on the stages with the song entitled "You're My Woman." The song and lyrics were written Psy. Lee Seung-gi has expanded his career to acting, appearing in many series of television dramas and sitcoms.

Lee Seung Gi Marks an All-Kill on Charts with OST for ′Gu Family Book′

Lee Seung Gi has been marking successes in both drama and song, as his OST piece for his drama Gu Family Book, Last Word, managed to score an all-kill across seven online music charts.

Soon after it was released on May 27, Lee Seung Gi′s song topped Melon, Bugs, Soribada, Daum Music and other charts in a total of seven sites.

Gu Family Book has also been successful, as it′s managed to stay on top of viewership rating charts for its time slot.

Last Word was composed and lyricised by Lee Seung Gi himself and Duble Sidekick. The feat has especially gathered attention as it is rare for a lead actor of a drama to compose his own theme.

Lee Seung Gi was previously recognized for his skills in composition with his mini album Forest. His fellow composer, Duble Sidekick, is a hitmaker who composed such tracks as SISTAR′s Loving U and more.

The piece is based on pop ballad, but breaks outside of the ordinary ballad mold for a new attempt.

Lee Seung Gi, #1 Star Who’ll Likely Win 1st Place in Math Olympiad

“Which star would likely win first place if s/he were to participate in the International Mathematical Olympiad?”

This survey was conducted by SevenEdu, an internet education company, among 586 people from

Lee Seung Gi received 180 votes (31%), and Kim Tae Hee received 76 votes (13%).

Regarding the survey result, a SevenEdu representative said, “Lee Seung Gi who took the first place among male celebrities is commonly acknowledged to be an umchinah; he was a student body president, and he was the only person on 1N2D who could easily solve math problems; the mathematical image of him as the ‘founder of data cooking’ who can’t cook without a recipe and a timer also seems to have a large influence on the ranking.”
